They are concerned about the dam by the paper mill in Plainwell... if it goes then so do the bridges of Plainwell!!! The island just got smaller. Saturday night they say a tornado went through the area of Paw Paw and down 131 - Again... But I have not heard from anyone that there was a lot of damage. We did not get any wind out by us. Just rain hard for two days straight. They say we got over 9 inches... Almost as much as Ludington this summer!!!
Then I get to work and get the news about Lehman Brothers going under. Whew - that is big news here at WMU, as our bonds are underwritten by Lehman. Bleak, bleak... Everyone is kinda feelin' the affects from this company going under...On a happier note we were just told we WILL get a 3% raise this year - maybe enough to cover the gas to get to work!!!
