How Sweet it is...

It began with an inkling as I walked in the building and came to my office... There were travel signs and posters of Scotland surrounding the office door. As my keys rattled in the lock, I saw a red light and entered the office to be surprised by Angela taking a picture and Tracie waiting for my reaction to a room full of plaid! I had arrived in Scotland, thanks to my friends - with tea and shortbread, Scottie dogs and the Rampant Lion flying, there was a castle and Loch Ness complete with "Nessie", a Scottish Air Jet leaving for the bonny land over the sea (I even know what Scotsmen were under their kilts!!) The piece de resistance was Gloria Culp piping down the hall to my office. She played another song before she left.( I have never been serenaded before, it was way cool!!!) Cards and gifts filled my desk and chair and had to be moved for me to work. What a treat! The celebration continued at lunch with my graduation potluck and well wishes from good friends here at WMU! It was a great warm up for the real thing coming on Saturday.
