Watch the wind blow by....

The snow is gone...after all the rain we got on Christmas, the winds came in and dried everything up! Really a God send as my roof and the ice upon it, have disappeared. I am into my week off from work and doing some of the things on my list. Yesterday we ventured to Chicago, deciding to drive at the last minute because the weather was so nice, we had the time and gas is cheap again! Kim and her family met us for a day of walking and shopping "the Windy City". It was good to see the Pades happy and whole. We celebrated life by sharing a meal at the "Cheesecake Factory" and then we parted ways to head to our prospective homes. Christmas day found Andrea and I embraced by the Macklin Family! We felted blessed to be included in their festivities and later that evening we went a-visiting to the Roushes for their annual Christmas gathering of friends and family. It is so good to be a part of the larger family of God as my own is spread out too far to get together for the holidays. I have not firmed up my New Year's Eve plans as yet, but I will be sure to be with friends to bring in the New Year! Then back to the routine of rising at 5:30 and off to work. I am happy to say that I have my job and realize that this is quite a blessing as well. May your 2009 be filled with comfort and peace.
