Everyday is a new day....

A friend is joining me this weekend to experience Michigan and spend some time with me. I anticipate a great time showing off our beautiful state. Of course a visit to Lake Michigan is first on the agenda and we are going to see the Musical Fountain in Grand Haven and then stay up in Muskegon so we can hit the beach for a second day as well. It has been fun to think of the places to go to showcase southwest Michigan. Meijer Gardens, Binder Park Zoo, Plainwell Ice Cream, Pine Lake, etc... I have been teased about our accent, our cold weather, our flat landscape and BRATS (on a stick)!! Needless to say I will be serving them for one of the meals....wish me luck in finding sticks! It is funny how we perceive different places by what we hear from others or see on TV. Anyway more to post after these 5 days!
