Time Passages

Do not blink....as time slips by so quickly. The Labor Day weekend is here and gone and I had a simply wonderful time with a date that did not end.

Our time together began and ended at the Grand Rapids Airport. It is exciting to meet someone at the airport – to be one of those people, awaiting a loved one or heading out on your own adventure! To have Tom come again to Michigan to be with me – to spend the day preparing for dinner guests, to shop and make lasagna and play cards with friends, to get tickets to the U of M vs. WMU game at "The Big House", to watch a freshman quarterback show some promise for the other team. To watch the Broncos never catch a break, to feel the tremendous power of 100,000 plus people behind a team!!! To watch a college football game with someone who would explain plays and calls that I did not quite see or understand. To get lost looking for a Chinese restaurant, and ended up at a Wendy’s watching fireworks with the town of Jackson, Michigan. To be domestic and mow the lawn and lounge on my front porch - a very cozy day of conversation and just more getting to know each other. To invite Andrea to join us for a campfire complete with smores' and Michigan hobo pies. To witness a beautiful night complete with a full moon and stars to light up the sky as we camped out in my back yard. To head to South Haven and spend the day on the beach, then to dress for dinner at "Clementine’s" and to finish out the evening by losing soundly at bowling 182-142, but to gain new socks out of the bargain.

As with all things, the time runs out and good-byes are said with the antisipation of it happening again!
