Holiday.....

I have been away...Took a week from work and did lots of little things. A road trip with my Lu and her auntie Marge. We were treated to great meals and conversation with people who are loving Marge in Georgia! Drove both times through the mountains in the dark....bummer. The CMA's were going on in Nashville and as we drove by, I waved and gave a silent "yahoo"!

We arrived home about 1pm on Monday, and I took the rest of the day after the 16 hour drive ti relax at home after a shower and nap and then plans were made for the rest of the week. Of course a list had to be compiled and both chores and fun times were added to paper.

Tuesday was forecasted to be rainy, so I decided it was a good day to tackle the washing of the vinyl on my house and some windows. The lawn also got mowed as the rain held off. So with that accomplished I felt justified in playing the next couple of days at Lake Michigan.

First on Wednesday I met Andrea down in Sawyer MI and we went to Warren Dunes and basked in the sun then shopped, then back to the sun! We met some friends of hers for dinner and she treated me to Mexican cuisine.

On Thursday I headed to South Haven and spent the day with Susan and her new guy. We laid out again and caught some rays and then I headed into South Haven for some quick shopping and a sandwich then back to Plainwell.

Friday I met friends for lunch and worked on some small things on "the list" and attended the open house for Morgan Hoyt's graduation. It was fun to see folks from my past that I had not talked to in quite some time. A big storm came up and power was knocked out ( I think my TV is toast!).

Saturday was full of things to do~ car wash for Mission trip, face painting at the park for Deacon Conference Picnic, visit with Margaret, walk with Mel and watching Wyatt and Sophie for a bit Saturday night.

Sunday I was up for church and then off to my last day at the beach in Holland with Lu and Brooke. As I sat there experiencing my joy at being once again by the waters of Lake Michigan, I pondered the fact the my week was done and I would be back to work in the morning. I will miss the ability to just arise and do what I want to do for the day. But I am grateful for the job to return to and the health and well being to relax and enjoy every moment that I can.
