What a October we have had, blustery winds and now turning cold...as it should be, it is just hard to say good bye to the summer. I am on the road to recovery and it feels good to be in health again.
I have had a very short stay of girls at my home, but found out this week that both of them are changing plans. Jenna will be out tonight -moving in with her aunt and uncle in Gobles and Andrea is hoping to be back in Kalamazoo by January, so I will need to use these next months wisely and find "daughter time" when ever possible. This does put me back into a "house of my own" and sometimes that is not so bad. There is freedom in just coming home and being able to ramble around your place and just worry about the dog!!!
This is the weekend that folks head to Florida with a "pit stop" to see Ed and I (fams) before they leave. WMU football will fill up Saturday and then we are gathering at Gilkey Street, to celebrate Halloween on Sunday, in true Plainwell style, with little ones heading out on friendly streets and hopefully porch sitting while giving out the "treats" with Ed. The older adults will quietly enjoy the new TV in the family room and the house will be warm with company!
I have always been blessed with family and good friends who keep me on my toes and drop by for visits or call for time away and I hope this will continue. Are we not so fortunate to have such a future laid out before us? But we can still ask the question " How many times....?"
