Hello, it's me...

What a wonderful summer day! The sun is warm as it touches the skin and there is a pleasant breeze to keep one from being too hot! It will be a pleasant evening to lounge on the porch.

We said good by for a while to Pastor Paul and Jennifer Fazio, as Paul is now on a sabbatical till September. They will be around but just not doing the normal pastoral stuff for the summer. I pray for a time of refreshment for Paul and his family.

I spent Saturday putting in my garden - I now have a tomato & cucumber plant, green beans and three sunflowers. My neighbors, the Lees, are going to use some of the garden for their summer crop as well. I purchased another hose and sprinkler to reach the back 40. Norm's fountain finally came out of the garage and is set up on the deck and I planted a few flowers. I am hoping to pick up some more today at the Meinema Greenhouses and finish off this week with my annual planting.

I purchased a web cam this weekend and hope to master it and send one on with Andrea to South Africa. That way we will be able to see each other while she is gone. Rhonda gave me the idea and the web cam was really inexpensive - so I hope it works!

I have promised cookie care packages to family members - so tonight I will whip up a double batch to get sent out as soon as possible. We are hoping to have Jim home from the hospital tonight and Kari is in need of "home" being sent down south. I will also make some up for Margaret and my next visit there.

So much to do and so little time....
