A week from today I will be in California! I am really looking forward to this trip. I am flying out with Lurinda and Jon to see Chris graduate from the Marines boot camp AND to see Jonathan.
I am just really looking forward to seeing how he is doing. I have come to care for this man as a truly good friend and I am glad that we get to spend some of our life together. This has been a new experience for me, to share in some ones life who has been given such a short time to be here. He seems to live with gusto and does not dwell on the outcome. As none of us know how long we have, I think he has been freed to make some different choices than he normally would have! To be blessed in knowing him and being a part of his life now is a true gift.
I am also blessed with Jon and Lurinda's friendship and care. They are making the trip possible for me and allowing me to join in their family. I am fortunate to have many such people who support and care for me and I do not take it for granted. We will have a wonderful adventure together this next week.
