Safe and Sound.....

Well I got a call that my dear friend, Lurinda has made it safe and sound down to Georgia to be with her auntie for a bit. I am happy for Aunt Marge, but it leaves a big hole here for me. Lurinda (Pee Wee) has been one of my "rocks" and we get together quite a bit. We have set up SKYPE so we can stay in touch visually and I will just need to stay busy in other ways while she is gone! She drove down by herself yesterday, after taking Christopher(her son) to Detroit to catch his flight back to California for his continued training with the Marines. Lurinda called to tell me the Smokey Mountains were beautiful and that the temp was about 65! Her plan is to be gone till after Easter, but be home before her 50th birthday. I wish her rest and rejuvenation while she is away~ she lost her job just before we went to California for Christopher's graduation from boot camp. Searching for a job in Michigan is tough right now and she will need to find something! The economy has affected many people and now personally I have family and friends who have lost their jobs. Lord I ask you to be with them and bless them all. Help us to learn to live differently and to reach out to our brothers and sisters in need, for but by the grace of God, go I!
