Lazy Days.....

A weekend full of Andrea. She was home and I enjoyed her company in work and play! The plan was to get the garage painted. Friday night we scrapped and laughed at the condition of the wood beneath. Not much left when you take the paint off. Some guys from NP came over to get a jump start on our Saturday project with the youth group coming to paint the garage. We made a fine mess with paint chips all over the ground.

Then in the middle of the night on Saturday a big storm came in which stayed with us throughout the day. It was much needed, but foiled our plans to paint...so a lazy day occurred with reading laundry and naps taking up the afternoon. Then we got dressed and headed to Kalamazoo for dinner and some shopping! Mel made out the best with three new chew toys, as the rest of the stores we wanted to visit were closed. So feeling energized by our lazy day, Andrea and I heading to Plainwell Lanes and played three games of very non competitive bowling. With plenty of laughs and a bit of coaching, we finished up and headed home.

Sunday was hot and sticky. Pastor Paul was to preach at Gun Lake Chapel so we packed up a picnic and headed over to see the Fazios and then to Yankee Springs for the afternoon of, you guessed it, lounging around in the sun and surf! After a few hours Andrea was bored and begged to head home to get some things done. Sadly I packed up and we left the beach. After Andrea finished up doing some packing and I had a nap, we decided to head to Walmart for a few things and then take in a movie! With storm clouds heading in, we dodged rain drops and visited M-89 Theatre to see "Julie/Julia". With all this said and done, I enjoyed my time spent with my little one. Too few times we abandon all, and just hang out!
