Without a doubt our words can affect others. Even when we do not mean the harm, it can cut deep to feel you have betrayed or have wounded someone. I am so grateful that I have dear ones that do know they can talk to me and tell me when I have been hurtful or caused pain, as that is never my intention.
I have come to realize more clearly the character of a person I hold dear. Her depth of honesty and commitment to others, I find uncommon. In the past I have injected myself into the mix and not seen the bigger picture of what this soul has carried and her sacrifice for others. I only hope to state that in the future I will think hard before I jump to conclusions that are unfounded. I will also try to be abundantly clear to all I hold dear, just how presious they are to me.
