WINDY!!!!

What a blast! Three days full of adventure and sights to see! Chicago never fails to be the city for Fun, Food and Frolic! Celebrating our special birthdays, Sally, Terri and I drove to Michigan City and caught the commuter train into Millennium Station at Randolph Road. From there we dropped off our overnights and began to explore Michigan Avenue and ate lunch at "Ed Debevic's". That evening we were off to see "Shout!" - front row seats!! We simply loved it. We could see every expression on their faces! The music took us back and we sang along to 'Georgie Girl', 'Down Town', 'Windy', 'Days of Wine and Roses' and many more! Then to Cheesecake Factory for dinner where we met up with Rosemarie and saw a little of the town at night!

The next morning we grabbed a scenic tour on the double decker bus and trolley company and learned some fun facts about Chicago. I love historical trivia and our guides were full of the lore of the city. We ended the day at Navy Pier and ate at "Bubba Gumps" and walked the Pier while waiting to take an evening cruise on Lake Michigan. We oohed and aahed the shoreline that was twinkling and full of the 'night noises' from the Pier. If we looked on the other side of the boat, we could see heat lighting in the clouds (very cool!) Cameras were flashing all around- I have a few good shots of my own!

Three exhausted ladies headed home Tuesday after hitting Michigan Avenue one more time! I am sure we all slept well in our own beds that night!
