A long weekend past - family gathering for the summer is complete - weather was a mix of clouds, sun, rain, cold, warm and fun! It was one of our smaller gatherings and family headed out at different times and much earlier than any other year! But life goes on and I am grateful that family members could be there at all. We were introduced to a new member through Kari Dawn, she brought with her a new husband, Michael Deeds and he seemed to mix in well with the rest of us. Kari is four months pregnant and still not sure of the decisions for her future with the Army. She is going to doing a blog to keep us posted of life in Louisiana.
Andrea and I emptied her apartment of the small things on Monday and she is home! It is good to have her there even for a bit. My little home is bursting with the combination of two dwelling places and we will sort and find places for Andrea's treasures till she returns. I am back at work this morning and catching up on and getting things ready for being off again next week as I will take the week before she leaves to just be available...
Andy and I will accompany Andrea to Chicago on the 10th to say our good-byes and then I am strongly thinking about heading to Wisconsin from there on a train to see friends and family. It will be good to keep busy for those first days Andrea is gone. To that end, I have some plans to make and people to contact!
